Who we are 

The Sunset Valley Elementary PTA focuses on strengthening parent involvement, supporting our teachers, and enhancing academics, including our cherished dual-language program. To accomplish these goals, we sponsor events and programs throughout the year. This includes fundraisers like our annual Cheetah Fest, dances, parent meetups, and academic programs like Math Pentathlon and the Spelling Bee. And we give grants for our teachers for classroom equipment, field trips and technology instruction.

We have lots of volunteer opportunities, from being a Room Parent to helping in the school gardens. We especially need lunch monitors, front office assistants, and PE assistants year round!

September 20- Garden Work Day // Dia del Trabajo en el Jardin

Come to help get the Campus looking beautiful before the start of school! This is a "come and go as you please" event- just come ready to work! Any amount of time is appreciated, 1 hour, 2 hours, or the whole time! Bring: Water, mosquito spray, sunscreen etc- whatever you need to be comfortable Tools will be provided, but bring your own if you want! // ¡Ven a ayudar a embellecer el campus antes del inicio de clases! Este es un evento "entra y sal cuando quieras", ¡solo ven listo para trabajar! Se agradece cualquier tiempo: 1 hora, 2 horas o ¡todo el tiempo! Trae: agua, repelente de mosquitos, protector solar, etc., lo que necesites para estar cómodo. Se proporcionarán las herramientas, ¡pero trae las tuyas si quieres!

JOIN the PTA Board

The PTA Board still has space for you! We're looking for a Cheetah Fest chair, Fundraising chair and additional parents to grow Math Pentathlon. Email president@sve-pta.org if you are interested in learning more. All Board members are asked to attend our monthly board meetings which occur on the second Thursday of each month. Come get involved with a great group of parents and make a difference at the school!
